With his colleagues, he has written over 30 books that have shaped the HR profession, defined organizations as capabilities, and shown the impact of leadership on customers and investors.

Dave is a professor of business at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, author, speaker, management coach, management consultant, and co-founder of The RBL Group. 

He is globally renowned for helping organizations add value to customers and investors through talent, leadership, organization, and human resource practices. He has successfully articulated how the modern HR function can be organized into shared services, centers of expertise, and business partners. He has co-directed research on over 125,000 respondents about the competencies required for successful HR professionals. 

David Ssegawa is Ugandan business and Human Capital management leader, having provided strategic-thought direction as Human Resources Director at some of the leading global multinational organisations including; Unilever, The Standard Bank of South Africa and The Coca-Cola Company. He is currently the Global Chief People & Culture Officer at Living Goods.

Over the last 20 years, David has played a key role in mapping and building African talent pools for multinational businesses in Uganda, East Africa and across Africa. He has mentored and coached many professionals to become top business Leaders across Africa and globally. He is excited about the innovations around talent management practice which he has led as a way of laying a foundation for the workplace and workforce of the future in Africa.

Taaka Awori is the CEO of Busara Africa a Pan-African Leadership Development Firm. She is a Leadership Trainer, Certified Coach, Facilitator, Speaker, and Organisational Development Specialist with over 20 years of experience working with civil society, the private sector, and various Government Agencies in East, West, Southern Africa, Europe, and the U.S. 

Taaka has worked with a wide range of clients such as the Open Society Foundation, Care, Greenpeace International, MTN, Newmont Corporation, Bank of Africa and the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre.

She sits on the Board of the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) and the Editorial Board of Coaching Perspectives, the flagship global publication of the Association for Coaching.  She is also a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Debbie Hollis is a Director of DevLinks Limited and an Associate of Deloitte and The Leadership Group.  Prior to moving into an Associate role in January 2021, Debbie held the position of Senior Manager in Deloitte Consulting Nairobi, Kenya, seconded from Deloitte Southern Africa practice since 2014.

At Deloitte, Debbie lead the Eastern Africa Organizational Talent & Transformation practice area in the Human Capital Consulting service line. This practice area focused on the provision of services in Strategic Change Management, Talent Management, Leadership Development and Culture Transformation. 

Debbie has over 20 years’ professional consultancy experience, working for clients in the NGO, Public and Private Sectors in markets across multiple geographies in Africa, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Sudan, Mauritius and Egypt.  In her current role, Debbie is focused on providing organizations with DDI (Development Dimensions International) Leadership Development and Talent Management solutions support, as a DDI Master Trainer, and on providing Strategic Change and Culture Transformation support to clients, as a Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner.

Susan is the Founder & lead consultant at Human Performance Dynamics Africa, an organizational development, and human resources consulting.  She has over 25 years of global experience across multiple sectors and specializes in organizational transformations, talent development, executive recruitment and diversity, equity, and inclusion management.

Before establishing HPD AFRICA, Susan worked at the Coca-Cola Company and was until January 2009 the Eurasia & Africa Group director for Coca-Cola university.  In this capacity, she was responsible for learning and development initiatives in 90 countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe. Prior to this role, she served as the Coca-Cola Africa Group CHRO based in London and Johannesburg.  She has consulted widely for several organisations including the World Bank, IFC, Mckinsey, Safaricom, and sits on the Boards of Centum Group (Kenya) and Circle Gas (UK). She has previously served on the Boards of M-KOPA Solar Ltd; EABL-Diageo, Kenya Women’s Finance Trust, and UAP Insurance amongst others. 

She is a faculty member of the Stanford University SEED program since 2017.

Thomas Omondi is an accomplished business executive with over two decades of senior management experience across diverse sectors, including investment, aviation, and retail. He currently serves as Group Director of Operations at Centum, where he oversees human resources, risk, ICT, and operational excellence across the Group.

Prior to this, he held senior roles at Kenya Airways, including Director of Strategy and Performance Management and Chief Transformation Officer, where he led strategic development, execution, and enterprise-wide performance initiatives. He also previously served as Head of IT and Strategy Implementation at Uchumi Supermarkets.

Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Nairobi, as well as an MBA in General Management from IESE Business School in Spain. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and has completed executive development programs at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (University of Pretoria), General Electric, Rolls-Royce, and the London Business School.
